The Raysilience team is developing the first prototype of DOT, an innovative positioning and navigation sensor for autonomous aerial vehicles based on Visual Localization. The system combines European COTS vision sensors with an onboard processor that fuses live imagery and satellite data to compute real-time position. Its scalable hardware is fully compatible with multiple existing platforms, while the advanced software leverages neural networks and decision-making algorithms to guarantee adaptive and efficient performance in kinetic environments.DOT marks a breakthrough in autonomous drone operations and strategic resilience, offering a compact, cost-effective, and mission-ready plug-and-play solution designed with a strong focus on compatibility, versatility, and ease of use. By keeping flights on course and assets safe even under jamming conditions, it provides a decisive strategic advantage in critical scenarios.
Raysilience is composed of young engineers and students with backgrounds in aerospace engineering, robotics, and multi-domain technologies.
The team integrates technical development skills—both in hardware and software—with a growing understanding of regulatory frameworks and operational scenarios involving autonomous aerial systems.
We are constantly looking for motivated individuals to join our team and contribute to the advancement of resilient navigation technologies.
The project took shape during the #T-Tec – Telespazio Technology Contest , where the team presented an innovative solution for autonomous navigation in GNSS-denied environments. Selected in the Positioning, Navigation and Timing (PNT) category, the concept was awarded the “Test-It Award” by Leonardo.
Raysilience engages with stakeholders across the aerospace, defense, and security domains.
Our project is of interest to actors involved in autonomous systems, navigation, and dual-use technology development.
